StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm was the second title on which I was privileged to work with the Blizzard team.
Alongside Director Jeff Chamberlain and Art Director Jon Berube, I developed the look and lighting aesthetic of characters and environments. Particularly challenging was finding ways to make materials sing in the muted, overcast look of the power-deprived city.
In my lead role, I was involved in the visual development for all show assets, including environments and characters. I wrote tools to increase the efficiency of multiple teams, including LookDev, Lighting, and Modeling. I also developed a methodology for vetting different aspects of shaders and materials to ensure their visual integrity in the pipeline.
